The Energia MKII Basic was developed as a passive power distribution and filtering solution for audio and video systems.
Its design used optimized filtering structures together with ferrite-based suppression to help reduce interference entering the system through the AC mains while maintaining unrestricted power delivery to connected components.
Offered in multiple outlet configurations, the Energia MKII Basic provided a practical entry point into the HMS approach to power distribution and interference suppression.
The Energia MKII GLS/DCS combined HMS power distribution with the company’s proprietary GLS (Ground Loop Suppression) and DCS (Direct Current Suppression) technologies.
The design was developed to address ground-loop related interference, transformer hum and unwanted distortion originating from the incoming power supply.
Together with its filtering architecture, the GLS/DCS technologies represented an important stage in the development of the HMS approach to advanced mains conditioning.

The Energia RC 4/3 represented an advanced implementation of the HMS Energia filtering concept for larger and more demanding audio systems.
Its architecture combined multiple filtered outputs with HMS interference suppression technologies and was designed to accommodate both source components and higher-current equipment within one power distribution system.
The RC 4/3 formed part of the previous reference-level Energia range before the introduction of the latest HMS Energy generation.

Concepts including GLS, DCS and ferrite-based interference suppression established the technical foundation for HMS power conditioning and continue to influence the company’s approach today.
The current Premium Energy MC2 develops this philosophy further with Super Mono Crystal Copper internal wiring, Kapton and silicone insulation, upgraded sockets with gold-plated contacts, and a refined implementation of GLS/DCS filtering with carefully matched ferrite cores.
